Somatic Inquiry
A path of awakening through the body
What is Somatic Inquiry?
Somatic Inquiry is a process of listening deeply to your embodied experience—not to fix or change it, but to discover the truth of what’s here. It’s a contemplative and relational approach grounded in presence, curiosity, and reverence for the innate intelligence of your inner world.
This work is not about resolving symptoms or revisiting the past (though that may unfold naturally). Instead, we turn toward your felt experience as a gateway to insight, clarity, and wholeness. Through subtle and attuned guidance, the body is invited to reveal what’s true, what’s asking to be known, and what’s ready to integrate.
Somatic Inquiry lives at the meeting point of personal healing and spiritual awakening. It often calls those who have journeyed through trauma work and are now drawn to live from a deeper ground of being—one that is authentic, awake, and aligned.
Rather than orienting around “what’s wrong,” Somatic Inquiry explores:
What is unfolding right now?
What truth is emerging through this experience?
How can I meet it with presence?
Through this kind of intimate, embodied awareness, resolution arises naturally—not by effort, but through full presence.
Who is this for?
Somatic Inquiry often resonates with those who wish to deepen their meditation practice and explore how the Dharma lives through their daily life.
It’s a process of embodied and self-inquiry, oriented toward insight, wisdom, and a broader understanding of the nature of reality.
In this space, the body becomes a gateway to awareness—where sensations, emotions, and psychological material can naturally arise as part of the unfolding process.
While the primary focus is on cultivating wisdom and direct understanding, when therapeutic tools or support are needed, they are gently integrated to support the inquiry in the moment.
This work may call to you if:
You wish to bring more embodiment and authenticity into your spiritual practice
You’re drawn to understanding life through direct, felt experience rather than concepts
You sense that awakening includes, rather than excludes, the fullness of your human experience
You’re ready to meet what arises with curiosity, compassion, and truth
